Location: Waurika OK | Just want to brag on my mother a little bit. Since I have started practicing with a couple of other guys on Friday nights, I began to worry about scuffing up my amp. My mother still sews, quilts and embroiders. The other day she wanted me to take her to a fabric store for some material to use on quilts for a couple of the great grand kids. I ask her if she could make me an amp cover and of course she said she could. I bought some material (naugahyde?)and in a couple of days she had whipped out a handy amp cover, double thickness, padded with a large pocket at each end for cords, tuner; etc.
She is only 92, so what is next, gig bags?
I am really blessed, both my parents are still up and going, my dad is 90 and they both have always encouraged my guitar pickin. They bought me my first guitar, an Airline, I think made by Kay, when I was 13.
