Hey Everyone,

My obsession continues.... :D

Doing a little background research on my new Ultra 1511. I noticed that the neck seems to be made of unique material that Ovation says is Urelite. Can anyone tell me what that is? Plastic, fiberglass...?

Hope it's not radioactvie!

...hmmm... my dictionary says:

"urelite" is what you ask when you see someone playing a beautiful Ovation ... ie "Hi!, is that urelite? It sure is purty!"... "Yep, it's myelite... I got it from Al!"

Sad Tim. Really sad!

But since I hate to see friends suffer alone...

Urinate - Ur-an-eight. If you knew more chords you'd be a nine.

Euro - as in "Is dat your "O"?

Europe - "Do we use my rope or europe"?

Uranus - no explain-ation needed.

OK,here is the real answer to your question.."Uralite" is Ovations nice way of saying your neck is made of cheap foam covered in plastic made to look like wood .. "Lyrachord" is another nice way of saying "you ain't getting no wood here" :D :D

There was an era where there was a real push to "engineer" the natural resources out of everything. Aluminum necks, foam-filled necks, carbon fiber or Ply tops!

I'm glad to see a turnaround in both the replenishment of resources and the use of "real" woods and materials.

".....Uranus - no explain-ation needed....."

Actually, the governing body that oversees the names of celestial objects has seriously considered changing the name of that planet, for the obvious reason.

They were considering calling it Urektum

I thought J-Lo was a dessert? As in "always room for J-Lo".

Hmm, on 2nd thought, maybe J-Lo could be dessert.
