I was talking to my brother last night about the changes in the Ovation guitar line. We got to talking about the Ovation Fan Club and the many times members have discussed Ovation's current state. Does anyone think the OFC played some part in the LX program? I know many Ovation guys read the threads here, and I wonder if Ovation felt it was time for some ideas that it found in this forum. The LX is exactly what I was waiting for. And to me many in the OFC were waiting for a guitar like the LX also. And with a deep bowl LX around the corner, seems our ideas are being heard. Just my 2 cents worth.

The people at Ovation pay attention to this board. They also pay attention to their marketing department and financial departments. We are one factor mixed in with a number of others.

I do know that the LX was named after a member of this board, no matter what Rick Hall said last week.

I don't know whether we have kicked ass on the LX, but I was greatly impressed by the ad on page 9 of "Guitar Player" for the 30th Anniversary Model after some of us have railed for the mothership to go back to the days when they kicked Martin's ass. That beauty has the message "Here is a D-45 that you can have for less than half the price, and twice the durability", that 30th really looks good and the LX's are icing on the cake.

This bulletin board helps some of us working at Ovation realize that players respect us as much as we respect the chance to work on a project accepted by artists creating music. Healthy discussion's concerning the state of the Ovation art of acoustic exploration and creative results makes it worth wild to get up and go to work. We sometimes work on our own, we can create our own instruments and we apply it to our every day life for others.

My appreciation for the artists that wake and go to work to create, recreate and take part in the institution that is Ovation USA. I give you my thanks and whatever encouragement I can offer.

And keep it up! My Grandchildren will need exciting, quality instruments to play.

Funny how the people that need to see how the factory works the most never seem to get up there to see it in person....

To the fine Folks at Ovation! Thanks for keeping the art of Quality Guitar making alive. Many of us saw it Firsthand At The Factory Tour. For those who didn't Make it, Make your plans to be there Next Year.
The LX models are very impressive. I can't waitto see what you guys are going to do next.
Kepp up the great work
