Location: Florida | I was fortunate to have Harry Chapin visit my high school (West Babylon High) quite a few times when I was a student there. He was one of several "artists in residence", very cool for us. We also got Marion McPartland on a regular basis as well, also very cool.
Many dont know that Harry was a pretty good speaker and lecturer, and he used to tie his music to the subject at hand - always opening and closing 45 minutes of lecture with thought provoking music. |
