Joined: April 2004 Posts: 795 Location: Texas | Greetings Ovation fans, I just joined the club and am happy to be a part of it. I have been playing Ovation guitars for over 25 years and have had the chance to have most of the models. One of my favorites and one I still have since new is my beloved 1981 Country Artist 1624 Sunburst. How rare is this model in sunburst color? I have never seen another one like it and want to know what you think. I am on a quest in finding an old Country Artist model 1674, the old cutaway. let me know if you know of one for sale. Thanks in advance for your responses happy to be here. Best, Country Artist 1985 Legend Sunburst 1867 1981 Country Artist Sunburst 1624

From My recollection. The Country Artist was offered at one time in a Natural finish adn a sunburst finish..There may have even been a black finish offered..though i am not certain. Out very Own Trboy owns 2 country artist models and one is a Sunburst. You can view those in the member access area in the photo gallery. By the way, It would be great to see some of your collection .. so post photos when you get a chance. We all Drool alot...but we are basically harmless. :D again welcome aboard.

His natural one is beautiful. There was a cutaway Country Artist on ebay a few weeks ago in great shape. It went for 463 dollars. It is hard to find them in good shape. I have been looking for quite a while for a non cutaway Country Artist with no luck. Well they are out there, just beat up a little to much for me.
