It started with the 97 Collector... Not one, but two jumped onto the radar screen. You see, I could "justify" this very nice guitar as being just the right size. The wide neck... The bidding got wild. Tony "needed" the other one for Mothers day.

Then two 94 Collector surface. You know, this is the 1st. Optima pre amp, AAA top, XLR hook up...
How come I didn't know about this guitar? How have I missed lusting after this? I watch one then get involved with the bidding and miss out on the second ebay sale. GAS!

Now I'm reeling. I have the antenna up and almost a squint expression burnt onto my face.
(Like looking into the sun)
Then an obscure listing hits me. It's a 2001 Collector, multi hole, no reserve. Low price!
Somethings got to be wrong with it. It's in MN at a store I used to shop. (That's a sign)
I read all the postings on how "others" love the 2001. (According to the Mother Ship 696 built)
This is the one!

I hook up with the sales guy and he tells me it just had a set up... Oh, and the "dings" I thought it had was just dirt! The fact that it ends in the middle of the day in the middle of the week... I'm sure this didn't hit a lot of radar screens. 3719303691 became mine.

The agonizing wait of UPS. The anxiety of, "you did get it "cheep" so you know it has to have problems"... The brown truck showed up yesterday.
She's drop dead beautiful. Very close to mint.
Even my three cords turn heads. G.A.S. is in remission. The smile is back.

Only those that read this board can understand.
