Hi Everyone,

I bought an Ovation about 4 years ago, used, in Pittsburgh. The sticker with model name was not there when I purchased it. I am interested to see what model and year (even if it is an estimate.)

The serial number is 515595.

It is a cutaway with 14 sound holes and gold machine. The preamp is OP-24+. The neck and head are black lacquer (?). And it does not have a white binding along the neck and body like a newer Celebrity Deluxe that my friend has.

Also, are all Korean Celebrity Deluxe serial numbers necessarily 7-digit long?

Thanks for any help in advance!

Oh, by the way, it has Ping gold machine heads, instead of Ovation. Is that unusual?

What does the end of the fingerboard look like? Is it long and tapered or short and cut off?

You ought to go thru the members pics (or post one yourself) and look for one that's similar.

I am glad you asked. It is short and cut off for two frets. I went to look at the members' album (I didn't even think about the members's section!) and found celebrity deluxes that look similar. I will try to post photos later. Thanks!
