They were announcing on TV that the reborn ghola of "Cat Stephens" was issuing a CD, they showed him playing a beautiful Ovation, the Ovation did not appear to be reborn, it had a slot head.

There's a blurb on on catstevens.com about the new DVD (Majikat North Am. tour) with links to some vid caps. But, I don't see anything about a CD. WAIT! Nevermind, it's listed under the Yusuf Islam CDs in the discography.

BTW, I like the ghola reference. ;)

I thought it looked like what his predecessor, Cat Stevens, played. Looks like he carried some of his earthly possessions into his new improved persona. Can't say as I blame him, I would hate to abandon a guitar like that even if it meant a slight dent in my new soul.

Bailey

PS I liked the original Cat Stevens, and I probably like his resurrected performer.

Cat Stevens had some great songs but I think I still like Moonshadow the best.

Man, you can find all sorts of good things on that thar intarweb thingy.

From here:

"Mona Bone Jakon (Album)" was similarly a phallic title. It was his little inword for a penis.

And from here:

Mona Bone Jakon was a best-selling album that gave more than a few hints as to what had been going on over the quiet years, but its title song is really just a private little dirty joke he shared with anybody who bothered to listen. Mae West never did better:

Yes I got a mona bone jakon
But it won’t be lonely for long

And it wasn’t, but while his “penis song” sold by the hundreds of thousands, few realized that it was all about a guy with a hard-on (the cover illustration alone should have given it away).
