I started hearing this wierd hum while playing my celeb. It's not fret buzz, and it only starts humming on the low E string when I get to about the 10th fret. It's not loud, but definitely audible when I give the string a good pluck. I've tried to narrow down where its coming from, and it sounds like the bridge area. Could it maybe be parts in the pickup vibrating? Are they supposed to do that?

Any suggestions?

This is a topic that seems to come up once and a while with some interesting results. We've found loose battery covers and loose wires inside the guitar. Mine was the washers on my Straplok's. It might help to have someone else listen up close as you play.
