I have a 2001 and absolutely love it!

The finish cracks can be repaired by the Mothership to pristine condition. That's a GREAT price! Plus, Al is a gem to deal with! :D He also may have other Redwoods in his closet.... ask him.

yup nasty finish cracks are true. I have to thin the herd and this is the runt of the litter. I figured I would price it to sell. It all made sense to me when I dropped another guitar case on that case and the case cracked. I figured it was a sign.

I have a few other 2001's in stock they are in better condition and more moeny but they all have issues. I also have some of the rarer center hole models. As I understand few of those were made and I think I had most of them.

The redwood tops sound great but they need special care. Put a humidifier in the sound hole and slack the strings when you are not playing the guitar and they should be fine.

Steve,

Very impressed. I really like it. Need to replace the strings but even with old strings it sounded great - very warm...somewhere between the 30CL and my KOA Martin, good tenor, bass, and volume. Solid redwood top. I have very limited experience but older strings on a multi-hole non-solid top equals deadened sound. Not on this one. Neck and setup - great. Then when I ran it through a G-B 100w acoustic amp and could really hear it - wow. It's a keeper.

A little surprise - Japanese language manual, inspection folder, and registration (with 50 Nippon stamp.)

Another great guitar from Al.

KOA? Kampgrounds of America made/makes guitars? And they named them after that other famous maker of guitars? All I can say is, 'Wow!'

:D
