Location: Indiana | Just bought an Ovation from GC in Indy. It says "Limited Edition" on the 12th fret in the neck. Inside it has the serial number , 1119628.It has what looks like abalone inlays all around the body and on both side of the neck on top. Bound neck. Small sound holes. Kinda red flamey top. It has no model number that I can see. I couldn't find its age on the Ovation site (7 digits ?). Any info would help.

Location: Minden, Nebraska | It's an import, it seems by the serial number. There should be a label inside the soundhole with a model number on it. You probably have one of the 2000 or 2001 Celebrity LTD models. |

Location: Indiana | Yea, that looks like it. I guess somebody removed the sticker on the inside. The "guitar guy" at GC told me it was a U.S. Ovation.......wrong! It's still not a bad guitar, but I don't think I would have paid that much if I had known. Well, live and learn.

Location: Upper Left USA | For just a sliver more silver you could be the proud owner of an american made LX Ovation.
Check the archives here and see what had been said (and said, and said).
Also note that Musiciansfriend and Guitar Center are the same company - id est - same price if you demand it.
Research! Research and a lot of Ovation crazed friends! |
