Location: Warren,Pa. | Just read in one of these postings about this guitar's existence. Said this model was made,in part, to use up the bowls left over from the '97 Collectors project. There's one on ebay now that looks like it's in pretty good shape. There are several Acoustic artists that alternate between dreadnaught and parlor sized guitars. I wonder how these things really sound. Other members on the board seem to like them. |

Location: Canton (Detroit), MI | Steve, I just bought a Larrivee O-09 maple parlor guitar. The attraction of the smaller body is that it has a more balanced sound. The boominess of the deep bowl/dreadnought type guitar is not there. It is not the hot ticket for rhythm playing, but for fingerstyle or flatpicking, it sounds pretty good. If I gigged, I'd be tempted to get a mahogany or rosewood model and have a pickup installed.
