It was about the size of a Les Paul, so I never considered it a "travel" guitar, but with the OP24+ in it, I think it would make a great, easy playing stage guitar. I might just have to get another one of those one day. It was really cool.

His included the stool, stool bag and gig bag. He just turned 11 on Sunday and while he prefers his 2003 Collector's his guitar teacher likes the Trekker and thinks some things are easier for him to do on that size guitar. Everyone who has "played" with it has been very impressed with it. I must say that it is a wonderful guitar to haul around in the backseat of the car for Scot to play on roadtrips to tennis or boomerang events. The laminated top and Ovation roundback make it extremely rugged. I would doubt that it looks like something worth stealing so that is a plus. -Hugh

Joined: June 2003 Posts: 1792 Location: Rego Park, NY, | The only trekker I have seen up close was Scot's until yesterday. I drove my son Michael to his guitar lesson and was waiting outside in my van. I was parked near the cross walk watching people go by while I was waiting. After waiting for about 1/2 hour all of a sudden I just happened to look up. A lady and her son were crossing the street. She was holding her son's gig bag. After crossing the street in front of me they crossed the street again. It wasat that point that I saw that she was carrying an Ovation Trekker gig bag. I have not seen the trekker at any SamAsh or Guitar Center. They might have had one in the stock room. I have been thinking about getting one. If I told my wife that I have a bad case of GAS, she would tell me to take a Gelucil tablet and send me to the bathroom until it worked. This is the result of being surrounded by drugs all day.
