All the BS was started by one guy who created 6 or 7 names within a day or so and shot for the anti-ovation buzz . Then, when the buzz slowed down, he created a few new names and took the other side (the we're Ovation let's fight back side) to see if he could get things going that way. Too many people bought into it as a real debate. I believe it's a one troll virus. Some folks have too much time on their hands.

I simply stood up for Ovations in the beginning, then the jerks started chiming in with their "Ovations cause this and that" and salad bowl rips, I called them all morons and I was the troll. Then some jerk decided he would give himself an ovation friendly name and tout how great celebritys are. What a waste of time. This is the end of this garbage for me.

When I was a Nuclear Inspector we'd find a saying posted on the walls of work areas tat read: Arguing with an Inspector is like wrestling with a Pig in the mud. After a while you realize the Pig is having fun!"

When asked if he could say the letter "K", he said he could. It was then suggested that he mentally replace the "C" with a "K" . . . and it worked. "Why didn't I think of that sooner??, . . . . what a silly BUNT!! . . . . "

Throw in some Cheech and Chong, Three Stooges and Our Gang and you've about filled your hard drive. You guys are much better to argue with! Wabbit season!

I have an idea, but I'm not sure.

Joined: March 2002 Posts: 14842 Location: NJ | Duncan; Like you, I'm not overly well-versed in the nomenclature of MessageBoards, but I would assume that a "troll" would constitute someone who signs onto a message board under some kind of alias and does nothing but try to disrupt the usual order of things and start trouble. I often envy people that have that much "free time" on their hands. I could find several good uses for it . . . if I had it!
