Where are the Pickguard Police when you need them?

Special :(

It sure doesn't look right on an ovation. Frankly I've never been convinced about the need for a pick guard. I play all styles and I've got no discernable marks or scratches on my ovation from picks even after 17+ years of playing it.

Was it a feature or just an add on either subsequently or "factory fitted"?

Cheers

Terry

Terry, the only Kaman roundbacks that came from the factory with pickguards that I know of were Applauses from the earlier years (of which I have one). A shame that someone decided to cover part of that beautiful 'burst finish with that pickguard. :(

It doesn't look right since we're used to seeing them without but it looks beter than most of the ones I've seen on Ebay with pickguards added.

Isn't that special?? Some people will insist on putting mudflaps on their car. It does have a certain look..........

Surely you've seen the cars in Tampa and St Pete with mid western tags and big rubber flaps and grandpa at the wheel going 25 in a 55 zone?
