Well I decided to go with a Kustom acoustic 30 watt amp for the Elite LX. Nice price and has two lines..........one for mic. and one for instrument. Read some online reviews for it and all were mainly positive except one. Paid $119 for it new. For a beginner I think economical is best for now until I educate myself on them more. Any feedback is welcomed.

....uh, just use the Notch Filter and the feeback will go away :D

...sorry, couldn't resist!!

Tha Kustom should be just fine for your use.. I've always liked Kustoms. I'm currently using a Kustom Profile System One PA for my Elder Care Music Ministry and I just love it!

Enjoy!

I have the same "rig" as Tim. It is fabulous for what I like doing.

I also have an old fender "piggy back" tremolux tube amp...that shakes the gutters loose just on volume 4. I seldom use that anymore.

I think you will enjoy the Kustom...the price is good.

Sam,

One improvement I made to the Kustom PA is:

I had two small (10"x10"x3" cabinets) Phillips speakers from an old phonograph to which I soldered 1/4" male jacks. I use two wye jacks (single male-two female) on the rear speaker output on the Kustom Head and use the Phillips speakers as small stage monitors.... they work great and also fit in the roller case between the Kustom speakers!

Outstanding.....
You gave me a good idea; I'm thinking about doing the same thing with two Harmon Cardon's

I did the wireless thing too.....very neat
