Joined: June 2004 Posts: 95 Location: Monroe, Ohio (Cincinnati) | Hi All, I found out I am coming into some bonus money today and so I bid $ 470 on this Elite T on ebay. Unfortunately or fortunately I was barely outbid. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=3736802246&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT Since this probably would have gone for over $ 500 had I chose to bid higher, Al's offer for a demo for $ 550 may be the way to go. I am still looking for a guitar to use amplified for P&W. That is why I want a shallow body. Then I saw this on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=3737729098&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT I like the looks a lot (looks like Holy Spirit Red), but I am hearing many good things about the sound of the Elite T, both on this board and other places. Just to make matters worse, I can't decide if I want a 6 or 12 string. I like this one also: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=3737354926&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT Is there any hope for me? Will they all sound similar amplified? Will the necks have the same feel? Will Batman and Robin escape the Joker THIS TIME? I welcome any guidance you experienced Ovation fans can send my way!

It will undoubtedly lead to wanting another flavor - even while you are still holding the first cone. Is there hope for you/us? We do hold meetings but we are not looking for a cure! I like 12 strings. I also like 6 strings. Hope it helps.

Savor that delicious moment right before you take the plunge. That's a great feeling, when you're on the brink of making the decision and reviewing your choices...ahh, contemplating the different flavors.... good luck with whatever you choose. Al's demos are mighty good deal, too, and you'll know exactly what you're getting. wemedge

Alright, I guess it's my turn to go first... Hi, my name is Cruster, and I have a problem... (apologies in advance to the easily offended; I'm only making fun of my guitar habit, nothing more...)

Then you, as I am, will proudly push your shopping cart full of Ovations down through town, ragged, shoeless, like the first Revolutionary Army under George Washington at Valley Forge. Smiling and proud to have defeated the Tories that say income should be spent on mundane things like rent and groceries. Find that hidden receptacle and plug in your Ovation amp and cycle through your stash, smiling at those who go home to their wives and children through your ragged beard. Shout out the Cat Stevens song, I saw pictures tonight of John Denver playing an Ovation, sing that Country Roads. But never, NEVER, indulge in a 12 string program, they fail every time. As you can see. 12 string program failure Bailey

Be sure you play a shallow before you buy one. Unplugged there is a huge difference between the shallow and the Elite T mid bowl. Keep on hunting!! Brad
