Location: Eugene, OR | I'm considering one based on the difficulty of finding an Elite 12 string with a natural top and the good prices available on remaining cs245's.
Anybody have any recommendations based on your experience with the 245?? Thanks . |

Location: Central Oregon | I don't remember the model number but I bought a Celebrity 12 string that looked nearly identical to the 1858 Elite 12 I bought as soon as I could get rid of it. The Celeb looked great, sounded pretty good & after a professional setup it was more comfortable to play past the fifth fret than say, sticking my fingers into a garbage disposal. I suggest you keep looking until you find an Elite. All Celebrities are not created equal, some are pretty good, others aren't half bad, some suck donkey balls. If you can play it first the Celebrity might be ok but I'd still hold out for an Elite.

It could also whet your whistle for one of those elite T or LX 12s rumored to exist. |

I'm really glad I didn't take the mediocre way out yesterday and jump on one of those cs245's. You made me realize why they are all going away.
I contacted Ovation and indeed you were right! LX's are coming out by the end of the year, starting with a mid-depth Legend. |

Location: Las Cruces, NM | Ovations have always been the best 12 strings built, the idea of the new LX or Elite T as 12 strings is destroying my resolve to "just play the guitars you have, Bailey, you can only play one at a time". I'm about to lose another one to Ditech as I mortgage my home for a 12 string Elite T, my home already is a large packing crate as my real house went for my other axes, I hope Ditech values the improvements I've made as much as I do, it isn't everyone who has a steam heated living room over a man hole, or a blue tarpaulin roof that simulates a western prairie blue sky, I also have a two vehicle garage where I can park, TWO, NOT ONE, BUT TWO, shopping carts in the garage that I got from a Home Depot cheap riding mower packing crate.
My 12 string program is failing dismally!!! |

Hey, if you get one of those awesome new 'interest only' mortgages, you'll be able to keep the packing crate with blue tarp, pick up a couple more Ovations and maybe even put some spinners on *both* of the shopping carts!

Disclaimer: I do not believe the pitch that by paying interest only you can magically afford a more expensive dwelling. It seems to me that, if it means anything, it only means you can afford the interest on a more expensive dwelling, but that seems to be a very fine point that the majority of these mortgage telemarketers can't grasp. YMMV. |

Location: Eugene, OR | Bailey, Let me tell ya, --Ya got one of the damn nicest garages available. I've had one of those mower-crate garages for 2 winters now and they are hot-diggidy! Let me tell ya about one of the greates things I've found to add-on. If you can come up with a couple of those plastic mail baskets that you sometimes see sittin next to the big street, mailboxes, they staple real nice in the roof of the garage and work great as Ovation racks. My Ovation slides right into these babies and I keep a cat up there to help moderate the temperature. You might try it out. Works Great!! |

Location: Upper Left USA | Its hard to beat a 40 foot Connex box (Sea container) for installation on your site. Doze a hole in the ground to match and its a Bomb Shelter or Mother in Law house.
Don't forget to plumb the vent hole though! |
