I notice the Bose L-1 that I think Playadamas provided and was very curious about anyone's opinion on them. I've been getting lots of reports on them from my Line6 contacts - but haven't heard one in action. Any comments? I love the sound of my O's clean (maybe a touch of the onboard effects on my mixer) through active speakers - how do they sound through the L-1?? That's this mornings burning question!!! Dano

Musiciansfriend.com has a pdf manual to look over if anyone wanted any other questions answered. i understand that the system is really great. try using this link. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=guitar/search/detail/base_pid/602081/

We sacrifice some sound quality this way, but it still sounds better than my old pa. I hope to get a second next year once this one is paid off. At $2200 per, 2 of them is a lot of cash to layout at once...and a lot of gigs to play to pay it off. It is really designed as a Personal PA, for one person. I'm keeping my older PA as a backup for situations that this one just won't due...for instance, needing a lot of inputs for many musicians in a larger size venue. I still love the Bose system. I wish they would have designed a model like this for a small group which included reverb...THAT would be something to hear. Reverb, according to the Bose site, will eventually be one of the presets that can be easily added to the current system. John, feel free to give me a buzz sometime and come over and check it out with your guitar. Johnny

I'll take you up on that as soon as the planets line up properly and we both have some time in between projects. ;) In the meantime, I'll look forward to hearing your system at one of your gigs. At this point, I don't see myself laying out that kind of cash on a new system since my P.A. is only a few years old and in "like new" condition. I think that I may have some problems convincing my wife that I need to dump another two grand into equipment. It probably would be better for my bad back though. Hmmm.... could be a selling point. :p
