Bill,

I've been having trouble with my e-mail for some reason, but I finally was able to receive your last two messages, one of which had your address, so I just wanted to let you know, I'll be mailing the Bardens on Monday. (I tried to e-mail you back, and my system isn't allowing ANY outbound e-mails for some reason.)

Sorry for some slow responses; I know that can make a person nervous in a transaction like this. If you had any questions about me, I was going to have Paul Blanchard either vouch for me or be an intermediary in our "deal."

Thanks again; I know you'll like 'em. They are truly great sounding pickups.

Service pack 2 is for Windows XP. I had so much problem with it losing the drivers for the hardware in my computer that I uninstalled it.

It appears to depend on the hardware you're using.

I had all sorts of problems with the upgrade as well. Least of which was my screen turning blue for no reason. I re-formated my drive and re-installed XP, did the update and have had no problems since.

I feel lucky. Installed the service pack on the 3 computers here at the house with no problems.

Hee, hee. The blue screen of death once again? Reminds me of the quote from the original programmer from IBM who wrote the first source code for PC-DOS : "I may have been the one that invented CTRL-ALT-DEL, but it was Bill Gates who made it famous".

I'm not worried about you. We've both been here long enough so it's not an issue. I haven't got the body yet or a neck so it's no hurry. Your check didn't make the mail Saturday so that's Monday too. Not to worry.
