Location: Brown City,Michigan | :D got her Wednesday-45 minutes before I had to go to work, naturally.MORE THAN I HOPED FOR!!!!!!!!!!!! Then,I went to church yesterday and plugged her in.............. :p   ...OH BABY!!! Cant wait until church Sunday morning-Im doing prelude music before service!!!Rock of Ages,How Great Thou Art; Amazing Grace. .... I suppose Wildwood Flowers and Dueling Banjoes is kinda outta place for church. As is Buffalo Gals;Foggy Mountain Breakdown;nah.Besides,I really need a banjo player for the bluegrass stuff. They all like what I do;I make it a medley of the songs I listed first. However,I did Hanks song "I Saw The Light" for them a couple of months ago-words and music-they absolutely LOVED it!!! At a summer church service in the park where I live,I did Buddy Jewells "Help Pour Out The Rain";every year around 9/11,I do Alan Jacksons song "WHERE WERE YOU WHEN THE WORLD STOPPED TURNING"-so we never forget. My wife, and others, have asked me"How do you get up in front of people and do that?"I am the first to agree-not everybody can do that.(Ever been to some of them karaoke shows? If ya have,it proves my point:Some people SHOULDNT do it!)Anyway,I try to tell them, its like another world ;you can hear, see, feel and taste it.Can I get an AMEN,brothers and sisters??I will let ya know around Sunday nite how it went.PS,Im thinkin about attending one of them Jamborees in the Lapeer area soon-shake things up a bit,ya know??? |
