Joined: February 2005 Posts: 1 | Below is a message forwarded to me by a band mate that was orginally sent to Ovation. Their response was that the pre-amp was made in Korea and that they do not have access to the schematics. Does anyone here have any insight? Thanks. > A member of a group I'm in has two guitars, a Strat and an Ovation Celebrity CC057, S/N 90xxxxx. When he switches between the two, the Celebrity is extremely louder and requires a lot of adjustment to get the volume down to match the Strat with its passive pickups. > > Is there a trim pot inside the preamp that will take the output down to match other instruments more closely? > > If not, it there a way to wire something on the jack to alleviate this condition? I'm competent with soldering and general removal and replacement of electrical parts but I don't know how to determine the values and a wiring diagram for any additional components. > > Any help you could give us would be greatly appreciated.

I have found that the signal from most of my Ovations (other than the LX) is quite a bit hotter than my other guitars.
