That is probably why your post got such a reaction. There is always room for improvment.

It's just not marketing to Rick. For those of us who spent time with him during the factory tour and jam he spent a great deal of time answering questions and also spent time talking to individuals about where they were from. Even if Rick didn't work for Ovation, He's be the same type of guy he is now. One who operates with the voice of reason and a great deal of integrity. Any one of us could pick up the phone and call him, or email and he would always take the time to talk. Rick's job does involve marketing, But how he handles himself around customers and friends has nothing to do with marketing but is only a testament to what a truly nice guy he is.

It's comments like "Yes I do have a distain for the corporate world but it is because I know exactally how it works." I would hope that your knowledge is better than your spelling, but I doubt it. For all it's problems and pitfalls, corporate America works pretty well. "It's not how well the dancing bear dances, it's that it dances at all".

I thought he was pretty witty, with some of those cracks. I mean, what do you say to some guy that's dressed up like a rooster and wants to trade $1000US for whatever is behind Door Number One? :D

Some probably went to the article only after reading some of the drivel. I've know Rick for a few years. He is outstanding at what he does, being able to balance what he "can" say while at the same time saying what needs to be said. Actually I thought it was a great interview aside from the spelling and grammer thats worse than mine.
