But what about fingerboard choices, walnut, rosewood, ebony, wenge,?

slothead or peghead?

wood tops...., sitka spruce, german spruce, englemen spruce, others?
type of bracing patterns,?

bone or graphite nut and saddle, ?

type of tuners, ?
gloss or satin top finish, tung oil or gloss neck finish?

12 string or 6 string?
inlays no inlays, wood inlays, abalone inlays,
fret size, jumbo, low wide,
Number of frets to body 12 or 14, other??

Hmmm, if only I could design a guitar just the way I wanted it and there was a company that would build it. and I had the dinero to have it done. mike

I can't believe the center soundhole is beating the multi-hole. I mean, isn't that, along with the roundback, Kaman's claim to fame? Of course, the -4 option is the correct choice. ;)

Great poll!

I think a lot of people (myself included) just like the traditional looks of a center hole guitar even though there might be a heck of a lot of reasons that multi hole is "better".

Well, Dave, it's a good thing I rescured the palm tree uke from you, then! Har, har, har!! :)

Just kidding, ya. The cedar topped O at Guitarget had a center soundhole and I really liked the way that one looked and sounded. Not better or worse, just different. How is it that W2 says it, 'I scream?'

Oh, and the uke has been played every day since it arrived. Taught youngest son (2.5) and middle son (12) how to play Row, Row, Row Your Boat, then on Sunday, taught my youngest sister and my mom how to play it as well. It's amazing that a simple one-chord song gets people all excited...guess it's just a 'hey, I can play that!' kind of thing. Thanks again!

I HATE these polls...I don't wanna choose...don't wanna think about only having only one guitar, one configuration, only an electric OR an acoustic!

THE BOOK guitar might affect the vote for center soundhole plus a lot of country and gospel people who are wedded to tradition.

We're going to have to start up a Chicago-style 'multi-soundhole' get out the vote effort...vote early and vote often!

:D

Single hole/multi-hole still dead even.

I had to vote along the lines of the guitars I own. Not to say that these preferences will change if a OFC model is in my future...or LX...or 2005 collectors...or... :)
