Hey Fellow OFC Enthusiasts,

Anyone have the words and chords for the classic tune "Indiana Wants Me" which was done by R. Dean Taylor in 1970? It would be greatly appreciated. I already tried www.chordie.com and it didn't have the words and music together (only fragmented portions). I want to play it on my Burgundy 1777-LX for my new lady friend. Play On!

Thanks.

John L.

Indiana wants me
Lord

I can't go back there.
Indiana wants me
Lord

I can't go back there

I wish I had you to talk to.
If a man ever needed dyin'

He did
no one had the right
To say what he said about you

It's so cold and lonely here
Without you.
Out there the law's acomin'

I'm gettin' so tired of runnin'
Indiana wants me
Lord

I can't go back there.
Indiana wants me
Lord

I can't go back there.
I wish I had you to talk to.

It hurts to see the man that I've become

And to know I'll never see the morning
Sunshine on the land

I'll never see your smiling face
Or touch your hand.
If just once more I could see you

Our home and our little baby.

I hope this letter finds its way to you

Forgive me
love
for the shame I put
you through and all the tears

Hang on
love
to the mem'ries
Of those happy years.
Red lights are flashin' around me
Yeah
love
it looks like they found me.

Indiana wants me...

Nope! R Dean Taylor. On the mowtown label no-less.
One hit wonder. The Oldies Station I work for has played it and it drives some of th elisteners nuts. Beacuse of the use of the sirens and the bullhorn " this is the police...give yourself up.."
The phone calls always made me laugh because i always asked, what they were doing that made them think the Police wer after them in the first place. :)

LOL!! Well I wasn't going to say anything, but sometimes our listeners are very strange to say the least.
