My address is six and seven-eighths Stetson Avenue. It was a Friday and I was mad at the world. I had another hangover and needed some quiet. What I didn't need was another excuse to buy an Ovation. But, then *he* logged in. Alpep, Big Al. Proprietor of Lost Art Vintage. Procuring fine stringed instruments and collecting strange bodily ailments with no known cause were his specialities. Strange, yeah. But, that's Al. He wears mauve, 'nuff said. He pours himself into the leather chair by the filing cabinet while I pour some cheap rotgut into dirty glasses. I know what he wants. He knows I know what he wants. More importantly, everyone on the OFC knows that he knows that I know that he knows that I know what he wants. And it's the same as the last time. Information. He's addicted to it. Like the three time loser that hangs out at the corner bar who's got a scratch he can't itch for midget women...er, little people. Yeah, that bad. And it's always the same...how do I know about the Cats Eye O? Who told me? Was I dumpster diving in New Hartford again? On and on. ...to be continued...

It's over half way down on the first page. http://www.ovationfanclub.com/cgi-bin/ubb/non-cgi/ultimatebb.php?ub... And Boney Dog, you been watching me? You nailed my life perfectly.

Vipers are under Balladeers ... actually they are in several different spots. At least the pricing is consistent. Then there is the multiple instances of the long neck, mandocello, folklore, etc. Some of the 12s you're looking for are there in number, but not in description (6756LX). Why, there's even a mystery guitar (no model or description, but a price) that I guess you can make up your own. I'd be having a freaking cow right now if my marketing people posted something like this to my website. Well, I guess all the QC goes into the guitars ... not leaving any for the marketing folk.

Then I realized...we pretty much know all there is to know here at OFC. Being on the frontier, information is itself to be discovered. I'm sure that any leaks from the executive branch would happen here before, most any other place.

I had to realize; this is the first time I have ever bought guitar that wasn't even born yet. I am used to knowing a lot about a product before I make a major purchase. In this instance, I've made the purchase (assuming USPS delivers my check to you) before it is even off the line, and I get info as it becomes available (and before almost any one else in the world). No regrets, or concerns, just a different (and exciting) angle on the buying experience.

I have searced all over the internet and made several calls but like Al says "The whole idea of being in the fan club is to be in the loop. Hopefully, the factory keeps us in the know and I give out the info when I can. I think it is working rather well so far". This is absolutly true. We know more about these and any other "O" out there than everyone put togather from what I have found. Thanks Al, and I'm waiting for your call when you get 'em...
