Lightest guage strings you can find? detune it? slack the strings off when you put it away? there's a lot of poundage on those 12 strings so it's always going to be a problem on a top thin enough to vibrate. I kinow it's heresy but it might be the one time that pins are better than a thru bridge.

I keep them strung to tension, or 1/2 step low and keep them in a humidified room. I always use EXP lights. Never a single problem. Dave

Damaged braces can lead to top warpage. I think this is an easy one to let go. Guitars left leaning against a wall for extended periods of time will get warped or simply fall over eventually. Lack of Humidity or exposure to heat will cause issues. The biggest danger of Ebay buys is that you don't know where its been or how it was handled! I prefer them hanging by their neck in a "People Comfortable" room!

Their reply was to tune it to E and not worry about it. I did so and tweaked the truss rod a bit and it's been happy as a clam for 2 years now.

It is a Celebrity though, no a real O. The seller kinda hid that fact, advertising it as a '95, so I'm returning it. Bummer, it really sounds good.

Course, if you are Nils, you get a Pacemaker from eBay for "free." Only one I know that made money from a UPS claim. Don't "flame" me - nothing wrong with the Pacemaker, Balladeer or Elite...I just like the centerhole Glen Campbell and Custom Legend.
