Hi
Ebay is the biggest, most likely platform to sell a guitar, but I have been unable to get a clear answer from Ebay about my situation. I find it difficult to get even unclear answers from them :-)

Here's what I want to do;

Trade my nice Ovation classical and some cash for an Ovation steel string with a wide, finger style neck.

I know Ebay wants a cut from transactions (this is reasonable) but do they allow "trades, plus cash" ? I cant get a yes or no from them on this, and would appreciate someone's experience with this type of deal.

Thanks in advance for your time

Best bet is to sell it outright and target what you want, then get it.

Go with great pictures, honest description and set your reserve where you won't be disappointed!

Start a 7 day auction at $.99 and let the interest of people be the final say.

IMHO, eBay is not the place for trades; agree, sell, then find something to buy.

You might want to list it on the SELL/TRADE here to see if there is any interest in a trade.

Thanks for all the quick responses.

My classical is as follows;

1- almost new condition (tho it probably needs a new set of strings)

2- model # 1863 (it is -I think - a so-called shallow bowl, or maybe mid depth , but definitely not a regular deep bowl)

3- serial # 567867

4- includes a new black molded case

5- it has OP-40 electronics

It hasnt been played much, and I am most interested in exchanging it and some cash for a steel string (wide neck) guitar. But apparently, the best approach is to advertise it, so I am going to put it up on this site, as soon as I send this note. If that doesnt work, then Ebay.
