Location: Dayton, Ohio | i think i like this guitar, but i don't really know that much. i'm going to start recording and playing out more, so i need to get my ovation! but i'm also poor and can't afford the big bucks ones. how does a super shallow bowl sound? can someone look at this and tell me? the auction is up in 2 hrs! it's the ovation usa 6868 elite acoustic electric cherryburst.
thanks!

Location: Valparaiso, FL | I have a 6868 and feel it's a great sounding guitar both acoustically and plugged in. I was surprised at the difference in the bass response over the AE-38 cutaway shallowbowl I had. The neck is great too. In fact I have another 6868 on the way here next week. Then I'll have to decide which one to keep. :)
Price wise, I paid $130 for my green one w/o case and $230 for my reddish one with case. Each of them has minor cosmetic issues and the one on Ebay looks great.
It appears that one is an Instrument exchange auction though and that's a turn off for me. Both my son and I had horrible experiences with auctions through them and won't do another.
YMMV |

Then I'd have to buy something else. I'm working my way back up the food chain a foot at the time. The Elites are nice, can't wait to get up to an Adamas II |
