Is anybody familiar witht the Chris Rea song "Texas"?? (from what I understand, he did two songs with the same title(?). One song is on the "WaterSigns" album, and one is on the "Road to Hell". I'm looking for the latter one).

My boss is taking a big promotion and is moving to the home office in BigD. There's talk of doing a big "roast" for him, and the possibility of putting a band together to do a few tunes as well. I thought this tune'd be apropo (and I like the tune).

I know it's A-major, but I'm not real certain about where it goes from there. Given enough time, I could probably just sit down and figure it out. But time is a little tight, and my plate is very full right now (plus I'm a lazy bastard).

Anybody know?

Couldn't find the other one after a quick search. Found the lyrics but no tab. They're both cool songs, but I've heard the one off of "Road To Hell" more often. Was down in Austin and heard it on the radio just a couple of days ago...

Cliff, you might want to rethink that imagery.

I know I do.

Well I got a litte brother
Several meters high
He's built just like a quarterback
And he swears he'll testify
He says he's been to Texas
And that's the only place to be
Big stakes, big girls, no trouble there
That's the place for me

(insert slide guitar going Bahhh, bahhh, bahhhhhhhhhhhhhh)
from Texas

Cliff,
I have been looking for the tab or chords to the song you want. (By the way it is known as Texas 1989) I just don't believe anyone has chorded or tabbed it! Strange that the lyrics can be easily found but not the chords. Well, at least, we tried.
