Location: Queens, NY | Although my personal preference is a mid-depth bowl (I figure that way I'll be half right no matter what), I think shallow bowls have their purpose. If you're used to playing an electric and/or play mostly plugged in, a shallow bowl might be the way to go.
I think it would be a mistake for Ovation to do away with USA made shallow bowls entirely. |

Location: SoCal | I've played those before. Good unplugged sound, great on stage. And you got it for a very good price. Congratulations. |

Your just spoiled by the great collection you have. ;) Try to be more understanding of those less fortunate that yourself. Take me for instance....I really want a 1538, a baritone 12, etc., etc. :p |

Location: NW NJ | Very nice axe Persephone. I had one in gray (read pewter) and it is a wonderful instrument. Great sound unplugged for a shallow bowl and the plugged in sound is unbelievable. I had the chance to pick up an 1868LX-5 from Victor Litz on fleabay a couple of months ago which gives me a little bigger unplugged sound thanks to the LX top and bowl and those gorgeoug inlaid epaulets - had to sell the 1868T to pay for it. That being said, I loved the T in the shallow bowl - you will too! :p |

Location: Dayton, Ohio | my baby came today!! she's so beautiful and we're a perfect fit! i had a short band practice before work and could hardly contain myself. she looks, feels and sounds so amazing. glad i went with the shallow bowl. everything about it is perfect! and it makes me sound like a much better player. :) she rests perfectly on my hip, slightly turned up. fits nicely against my body when i sit. ovations really are the guitars for women. i wonder if they need a spokeswoman for that... |
