Does anyone know what happened with the slotheads that Hector and Cholloway were selling?

I believe Hector crawled back into his hole . . . and Colin's is still patiently up on the block . . .

The last offer I received was gettin' close to my asking price, but still not there.
I'm thinking I may run it on eBay and see what kinda interest it stirs up. At least all this has rekindled my interest in guitars. I've been pulling out the CL most everyday and strummin' some chords hoping to rebuild some callouses on my fingertips!

Colin, you ought to hold onto your slot for a while longer. When Ovation comes out with the #47 recreation (and the OFC'er), you might see interest in your original slot jump.

Just a thought.

Moody,
Been thinkin' the same thing. I'm certainly in no hurry to part with it now that I know what it really is!
Remember, for the last 15 years I thought it was just a low S/N Adamas!!!

I would say hold on to it. Even if it's sticking it back in a closet. 10 years from now it will have to be a multiple up in value from what it is now. I forget if it's electric but if it is, take the battery out for long storage periods.

I agree.
If you're not in a position where you HAVE to sell it, sit on it and be patient. FleaBay's probably a good idea, as it'd increase your exposure (especially internationally). Just DON'T go into the eBay thing "blind". Confer with someone who's had a deal of experience and can relate to you all of the ins/outs. Putting it up blindly was Hector's mistake.

To people in Iraq, the slotheads are known as pre-war Ovations. Dave

"CAUTION: Field Goal Kicker Ahead"???

Bill,
When it was put up the last time I was sure to remove the battery... will do again.

Cliff,
Good advice, but still not sure if I'll put it on eBay or not. Leaning more towards holding on to it for a while and see what pans out.

A few years from now there will probably be enough of an interest and market demand that you could sell it directly either through a good dealer or here or some avenue that hasn't opened yet.
