The first 2 photos come from the Ovation official German web site and the 2 second from "Elderly music instruments" Web Site. As you can see, there's some differences!! Trus rod cover & inlays are different. Is it a mistake or is it a special model for Europe & overseas??? Jérôme

Strange that there can be two styles of collector editions. Perhaps Ovation is getting feedback from the field that this collectors edition was a little to subtle. The test will be if they show up in the states like this.

I think those are early "stock" photos and Ovation has made running changes to the design. My guess is they decided to change the fretboard inlay and add "collector's" to the trc.

Those are stock photos pre change of the inlay. Look at the 05 Collector's on the Ovation webpage. It has the "collector's" inlay and the plain trc. Look at the music123.com pics. Same thing. Harmony Central review of the '05, same thing. All early photos are the one way, and all "live" pics are the swoosh and collector's trc.
