Lemon Pledge would sure be handy to get but doesn’t that have silicone in it? Wayne

When handling a piece between coats of laquer, its commonplace to degrease the item with naptha before the new coat of laquer is applied. On a Fender fretboard - maple that is - they're either laquer, or poly. Strings off, regular old polish/cleaner du jour. Ebony, rosewood, other bare wood boards some REAL lemon oil is good. Most lemon oils are just turpentine, mineral spirits etc... with a lemon scent, and perhaps some miniscule percentage of lemon oil. Swirl remover works "ok", but there was another product... I think it was a plexiglass polish (micro abrasive like swirl remover) that did the cats rosette of a job on poly. Arrgh, the name'll come to me sooner or later.
