Location: Keller, TX | Found this on Ebay. This looks like an Elite with a natural finish, but it has the Adamas style inlays on the neck. It has the Optima preamp, and no XLR.
In one of the pictures I can see a 1768. Looks like it is in pretty good shape. |

Nice guitar though. |

Location: closely held secret | Yah, you just don't find those Ovation "Optima/OP-X" models very often.
You'd think they'd take the trouble to read the flippin label...
It is a very nice example of an Elite, tho... hmmm... naw, I'll stick with my LX. |

Location: Keller, TX | Not sure of the difference in the Optima or the OP-X. I had the optima on the Adamas. But I like the Op-Pro on the Elite LX.
But I do like the natural finish. |

Location: Tennessee | Definitely an OP-X ... the Optima adds a chromatic tuner. Overall, this could be quite a catch for someone here if the price stays low. This looks to be a very nice guitar ... was the top of the line Elite in its day. |

| I emailed the seller, he thinks the OP-X is a the guitar's model name, so perhaps the label has fallen off...still waiting to hear back from him...

| ...I have never seen such a nice 1768 go for so low a price, I anticipate the bids will start posting higher in the final minutes....

Location: Minden, Nebraska | Definitely heated up in the closing minutes.... I recognize Slipkid in there outbidding me (Brad was courteous enough to ask me how badly I wanted this guitar and I told him to 'go for it'), but have no clue who 'muzzlightyear' is.
Sorry, Brad, but be consoled that it didn't end up as the bargain that it seemed it might be. |
