I'm working on it to sing to my wife. Hey, we haven't been married 24 years yet so I'm not working on "Beat It" (or should that be "Beat the Boy's") yet.

This thread reminded me of one of our wonderful trips together, driving from Idaho to Salina, Kansas in a Ford Fiesta for my wife's sister's wedding. I was still trying to learn the Wedding Song on my 76 Ovation while my wife drove. Not much room in a Fiesta even if you aren't trying to play a guitar. I think that's the same trip we lost a fan belt and I got the verses mixed up on the Wedding Song. The sheet music is really hard to follow. Wonderful memories. That wedding just led to divorce, like most of them. I doubt there's any correlation between the quality of the wedding music and the quality of the marriage, so just throw something together.

Mend my socks and sew my old blue jeans. Come on, babe! You can fill my pipe, and then go fetch my slippers. Boil me up another pot of tea. Put another log on the fire, babe, Then come tell me why you're leaving me. ... Had to have been around '76?

You won't be able to stop everyone from singing on the chorus to that one (kinda like "You Picked a Fine Time To Leave Me, Lucille"...oh well...). Or you could do SOMETHING serious... ...like "Something" by George Harrison...
