my pd is almost back to great.... but needs a refret as Brett didn't want to take a chance on splitting the binding.

he did what he could, but not a whole lot of meat left through the first five frets.. first and second are really thin, on the treble side. and it still has just a little buzz on the low E

I know that they will do a great job at the factory for me, and they like getting the older stuff back home... just wondering if anyone knows about how much it will cost?

Thanks in advance,

God Bless,

Glenn

I picked up my '70 Balladeer at the tour. I had the neck reset and some fret dressing done in the cowboy chord area.
It's...
awesome
stunning
invigerated
fresh
energized

Nobody will give it the type of attention they will at the factory.
Been there...seen it

But you asked how much it would cost.
Do what I did.....just send it so they can look at exactly what is needed.
Trust me...you'll be happy.

Looks like it's gonna have to go up north anyway...
elx on the tone circuit have crapped out. hope it's just the tone pot or.. if not I think I'm bumming since I don't think any preamps are still around.

gonna call Kim or Jon on Monday for advice..

God Bless,

Glenn

Don't make them committ to a price until they have seen it.
Call 'em....get a return number, and sent it in!!!

I sent my 1985 1717 Legend to Ovation for a complete refret and fret board leveling. They charged me about $200 bucks. They did do an outstanding job and the guitar is good as new. I think it took about five or six weeks to get it back. But I couldnt find anyone locally to do it, and I trust the factory, who else understands my guitar so well?
