Is there any problem with swapping out an Op-Pro from one of my other Ovations to this one to see if it is in the pre amp itself or the wiring in the body of the guitar? I figured it was the battery so I didn't worry about it until I got around to changing it out and it didn't help. I think I heard there are some "known" problems with the Op-Pro. Is this one of them? Thanks in advance for the help folks... Take Care.

I'll hit the tune button and tune her up, but that's about the only time I use the electronics at all. I don't plug in very often. I usually turn the tuner off by holding down the button for a few seconds, then after a play for a while I often notice that the light is back on. Usually it is pretty dim though.

That may tell you if the problem is in the preamp itself, or in the pickup/jack wiring. Does this start right after you put a fresh battery in, or after it's been in a day or so?

I think I'll swap the OP-Pro out with my 2005 Collectors when I get home from work and see what happens...

This limited warranty shall be valid for the lifetime of the product and shall not apply to the following components and properties of the product where present: strings, electronic components, amplifying devices, normal fret wear, other normal wear, and any parts not made by the manufacturer, which parts shall be subject to their individual warranties where applicable. Additionally, tone, because it is a subjective matter, is not warranted." Adamas might be different - check your manual. And write to Kim if you can't resolve it - they're very eager to please, back in CT, they are.
