| Two points - when he says "regular fingerboard not classical" does he mean its radiussed or just that its 1 7/8" rather than 2"? And is that cedar or has it just aged beautifully in a cigar club somewhere?
Second point is that maybe (and I only said maybe) cliff is right about the Indian Blanket - the oak leaves do look nice on there. |

My wallet is still recovering from the aquisition of a mint 1997 Collectors. Nice guitar. I like Indian Blankets. |

Location: SoCal | Schroeder, it's a flat fingerboard, but 1 7/8" at the nut, not 2". And it's spruce, not cedar. |

| Paul - did they stain the spruce at the factory originally or has it really aged that well and that evenly? Or is it the photo?
It's a gorgeous colour - only 22 years more and maybe mine could look like that.
And after I looked again at my Indian Blanket I apologised to my guitar for having even thought about a different rosette. |

It's the age. Mine is almost identical to this one (built in '83 -- the only difference between mine and the one in the auction is that I've got gold tuners on the theory that when you can't play, at least look good!) and the top is just gorgeous. The catalogs rate the top as a AA, but mine is just a lovely piece of wood. The only thing I would change is to have a modern preamp put in. That stacked volume/tone control digs into my ribs. |
