Location: Springfield,Ohio USA | Hello all, I have purchased a Ovation guitar and don,t know a thing about it. I looked at the model number and it was not listed and the serial number says it is from 1975. It is a Model 1132-1. Would any-one be so kind , if there is any-one, and tell me a few things about this guitar and maybe its value. Also, the ring around the hole is broken and missing about 1 inch piece and it also has what appears to be cracks in the face of the finish, don,t think it is the wood that is cracked. It has a orangey looking hard shell case that is in good condition except for a little rust on the hinges. The guitar is very nice looking and it appears to be in very good condition except for what I have mentioned. A man played it and said it was a terrific instrument. Thjanks for any help and I,m going to sell this if any-one would be interested. Larry |

Location: Tampa, FL | It is a Matrix, most noted for its aluminum neck & fretboard. Not particularly valuable. If you played I say congratulations, I you're just interested in churning I say best of luck. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | One with the bridge pulled off just sold on ebay for $38. It was $249 new in 1976. Mine is still in good shape and sounds great, although I think it sounds a bit metallic, possibly because of the aluminum neck. If the frets are worn, the idea was you could replace the fretboard cheap, but I doubt you can find them anymore unless you bought the $38 for parts. |
