Location: Cicero, NY | One of these days I'm going to try to pick up a solid body O and I think I have some kind of mental pull to the Deacon or BW body style. That said, I haven't played either and would like the panel to clue me in on the differences. Enlighten me, if you'd be so kind... |

Location: Evansville,IN | Either is fine. The Deacon is a bit more refined with a bound neck, and finished wood body instead of being painted. Other than that they are about the same.
I would have bought either, just happened upon the Deacon first. Prices are close too. The light blue BW will usually demand a higher price because of rarity of color. :) |

Location: GA USA | I use my Deacon with a Digitech RP200 processor and the resulting sounds are... interesting. The active electronics seem to make some voices spaz out completely.
My opinion... The Deacon/Breadwinner body style is the best looking guitar ever made. I much prefer the looks of the Deacon, and I wish I had a burst Deacon as well as the Demon Deacon, which I love.
But once my Balladeer comes in, I'm may go for a burst solid body Viper next, as an everyday playing guitar. |
