Location: Boise, Idaho | Anyone else miss the "Josh White" on ebay for $180? I emailed the guy within the first few minutes for pictures and a serial number, but he didn't respond and somebody got it for the $180 BIN. Maybe another wouldacouldashoulda or snooze you lose. Maybe a trashed Folklore. |

Location: boulder | Hey mark,
can you give link? I remember recently someone on ebay claiming to have a josh white for sale, except it had a #1114 model # and electronics. which as you say makes it a folklore. peace mike |

The one you guys are talking about is not a shiny bowl based on the silver sticker in the soundhole. Shiny bowls ended with real model #'s (other then models #1 through #8). It could be a great guitar however, especially for the price. peace mike |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Thanks, Blues. I was trying to figure out how to do a link and then find the completed listing when you bailed me out. Obviously, I'm not too good at this or I'd own it. My wife is right when she tells me I need to give up on this ebay stuff.
Does it look like the same one, Mike? |

Location: Orlando, Florida | I saw this one when it was first listed. My wife and daughter told me to go for it, but I didn't like the description. It sounded like it needed work. Besides, I really don't think it was a Josh White. I'm pretty sure it's a Folklore.

Location: Boise, Idaho | I agree, Joe. That's why I emailed the guy for pics and serial number, but somebody jumped on the BIN and he never responded to me. My wife and daughter never tell me to go for it, so I have to be cautious. |

Location: Scotland | This is a 70's Folkore, not a JW. The Folklore was esentially a reissue of the Josh, with a few mostly cosmetic changes. Either way $180 was a steal. The guitar in Fugots post is a Country Artist |

Location: SoCal | You know, I've played both Josh Whites and Folklores, and while Temp is right, that there really isn't that much difference structurally between the guitars, to my ear, the JW has always sounded much much better than the Folklores (and that includes the prototype JW I played at the factory -- the reissue).
Now all that changes when we throw in the FD14, the Folklore Deluxe...... |
