Not a bad price for a great guitar. Hope it doesn't cost too much to fix the binding.

Tony is known as the "adoption agency" ;)

I'm just a Foster Parent. :D
This way, I've been able to play different guitars and see what I like.

By the end of the year, I can see this '87 in the happy hands of another member.
I think it's just a timing issue for everyone.

Just looked in our email and found out my wife did put in a bid, but then she had to go to work. I'm really a lucky guy, even though she didn't get the guitar.

It would have been a better buy if the price hadn't been driven up. Steve Craig (craig121) already has at least one of the 87's, or did have.... At one time I believe he had the most complete collection in the country of the various Collectors' models, and if not was quite close.

Seems like there is always one person who doesn't need it that drives the price up from "incredible buy" to "excellent buy".

Bruce....don't be tying up the factory with your repairs. You know I got the adamas and the '05 collectors I need to send back!

The '87 is already in CT. It will be in repair before your two even get there.
I'm going to ask about having the epaulets on the ’92 Collector’s glued back down locally.

My other two can wait, along with every other Ovation owner’s repairs, until you tell us here that your two are done.

All those lprusy bids were my wife's. She didn't know Nick was going to go to $550 and I didn't think she'd bid on it. I think that 10th anniversary comment hit home. I better be nice to her on our upcoming 28th.

Tell her you will settle for a 1537.

Not a bad compromise Mark. Use your skill of persuasion and get-r-done.

I'd love to contribute but today there was a crack in my window and a fist full of money flew out. Headed somewhere in New Jersey. More info on that in a few weeks. Please don't tempt me. Dave

Noah,
My wife already tried to get me a 1537 for my birthday, but got outbid at the last second. We need to get a few other bills paid before I feel good about "winning" an ebay auction. Like Dave, fists full of money keep flying out our windows, but not toward guitars. University of Portland, cabin remodel, kitchen cabinets, new garage...stuff like that.

When the wife is ready, the 1537 will be waiting (if it has to go sooner, you get 1st chance at it).

Do you want pictures to hang up around the house?

Noah,
Could you send me a full size picture? I put up another hanger on the wall that is empty because my daughter is using the Matrix. I'll hang the picture on the wall. I'm sure she'll get that hint. She'll probably want to reciprocate after her 50th birthday in October, if she doesn't get too depressed. I robbed the cradle, too, along with all my other sins.
Are you anywhere close to Napa Valley? That's where we're going the weekend of October 3.

Put the picture on a big, clear plastic jar with some loose change in the bottom (like the ones with pictures of the three-legged puppies that they put by the cash register) ;)

I just reread my last post and it sounds like I'm talking about my daughter turning 50. Obviously, the "she" I was referring to was the she who must be obeyed. Bad slip up, especially for a lawyer.

Personally I have come to appreciate the lov'in of a woman in her mid-fourties. Had no idea it would be this good when I was in my twenties!

If I could just get her to play guitar...

Thanks for the tact lesson, Cliff. How about, she looks awfully good for a 50 year old with minimal cosmetic surgery? Is that better? She doesn't seem to be too concerned about people knowing how old she is. Maybe because she doesn't look that old. It's getting to the point where people wonder if I'm her father. I have to put in a few of those just in case she ever starts reading this board.
