Hi there. Searched the board looking for views on this beast but so far only picked up a thread which sheds a negative light on it.

I'd like to own an Ovation again but it would have to be a deep-bowled, non-cut, Adamas. This model looks 'kewl'.

Any opinions????

The Adamas 12-fret is not considered a Collectors - although as a limited run, it is a collectible.

Keep looking...had a couple cosmetic problems with the 1st ones (which the factory fixed, outstanding service.) This is a fantastic guitar...a boomer with a tremendous voice.

Louis,
The U681 t is a very sweet sounding guitar. great tone and sustain, comfortable too. I have a friend who bought one just recently and the fit and finish posed zero problems. The guitar was mint. It sounded incredibly rich and true. If you bought one, you would not be disappointed.
Maybe now that others have had theirs for a while we could talk more about the positive aspects of the guitar. the talk up of fit and finish problems were partly from the great excitement and anticipation of getting such a great musical instrument. I believe no one ever said a bad word about the sound, ever.
bottom line here, the u681t is one of the best sounding guitars I own. for whatever it is worth, peace mike

There were some fit and finish issues which were handled very quicklt and expertly by the service dept.

Its a killer acoustic. There are at least 7 or 8 folks round here who own one and every one of em will tell you its a great sounding and playing guitar. One of Ovation's very best ever.

I agree with the above. Definately one of Ovations top sounding guitars. If you read the thread with all the negative press, you stopped reading too soon because after the minor cosmetic fixes, the guitars were absoletely awesome.

Call Al and grab that sucker....there can't be too many left unpurchased.
