It was the bass guitar used on Journey's Escape album and was being hawked by a charity. It had a reserve of $999 and went without a bid, then was relisted and a flurry of sniping right at the end resulted in a sale for $2650. I wish I could have snagged it the first time, but I was still searching the cushions on the couch and looking in the washing machine....

Eh hmm... last time I cared about anything "Journey" was back in '80(?) when they were booed off stage at JFK stadium (Philly) opening for the Stones (who thought that one up??). In the press afterward, defending themselves, the band stated that Steven Perry was a "trained vocalist" and could "out sing" Mick Jagger any day of the week... Gee, I wonder whatever happen to Journey...NOT Cool bass tho. Might take some scrubbing to get the sig off, however. EDIT: Yes, I was there and BOOING

Sorry Folks, Journey represented the most evil of all similar evil of that decade.... ...yet I can still think of a few others...

Sounds like he used the back pickup only for most of the record. I can't say I'm a big Journey fan, but Escape has some great bass playing on it. Hey, I think I'm the longest "Junior" member in this group.....
