Without missing a beat he just said "well, you want her to get married dontcha?"... Congrats Norseman (I think) and welcome back!

Seriously though, it was worth every penny to see my baby so happy!.... what bothered me was the sweaty little punk (I mean groom) smiling like the cat that just ate the canary slobbering all over her throughout the reception! Norse( I hate those little bells)man1

Uncle Woody's music tip of the moment: That room in your now more affordable home, formerly known as "her" room, will make an excellent studio, practice room and OFC viewing platform! Caution: Subsequent Siblings may compete for these resources. Some spousal units may require a short mourning period where the said room will be a "no touch" zone. Some Fathers may even shed a manly tear or two as they pack up "their little girl's" mementos and place them in the required long term Parental storage program. This will shortly be replaced with a SEG as soon as you hang your guitar on a wall hanger. Congrats on your Daughter!

I want my girls to be happy too, I really do - but jeezzz. Mind you, I like Woody's idea too - it would be nice to have a bigger space - just the thought alone... Alas - it will never really be my space will it.

One of the greatest benefits that came from this marriage (other than the left over pork from the pig-roast!)was the fact that my wife and I are like honeymooners again! We have three children, and the daughter who just married was my youngest! It was tough raising kids when we were younger and really struggling financially (yea...like we are on easy street now!) but now we are 42 and 44, raised three great kids, and are currently thoughroughly enjoying the "empty nest syndrome"! Oh yea, and the music room I got when my son moved out... I think there's a new "crafts/sewing" room in store for my wife! Norse(I coach 6th grade football in my hometown, ... Starting next week, I'll have between 100-125 new kids to keep me from getting too lonely!)man1

I've got a friend who just spent $40k on his daughter's wedding. Just a thought, you're working so hard to get your kids up and out on their own, don't forget to change the locks on the doors when the last one is out. You don't want them wondering back in.....

She's 33 and we thought she'd never meet MR Right,(Is any guy good enough for your daughter?), but she did. He even plays guitar and is a wiz on computers. Now maybe I'll learn something about both. :D

The oldest is 22 and hope she hasn't met Mr. Right, yet, but she's living with Mr. Whatever. The youngest, at 18, may have met him. He even asked me to help him find a guitar. I heard him sing in church, though, and I hope he plays better.

The wife took it over before I knew what was going on. She told me she would now be able to sleep at night, because I snore too much. Only thing I got out of it was the big bed. :D Norseman, congrats on your daughters wedding. Hope she, and her husband grow old together. :)
