Location: Las Vegas, Nevada | Greetings from the West and thank you for the forum. I now understand what all the fuss is about here. I'm a born again Ovation believer. I've been hanging out in this forum just absorbing all the talk of Ovations and actually have been moved to post a couple of times recently. I had an original Balladeer in the early seventies and a few years later added an original Folklore. Both were acoustic only without electronics of course, and I kept them and played them for years. I sold them in 1990 to move on to other guitars. Their memomory has haunted me since. I recently had the Ovation urge again and picked up the 2005 Collector's Edition in May after simply playing a couple of chords. I simply handed it to the salesperson and said "write it up" and took it home. Unbelievable instrument that rivals those costing many times over its price. Today the 1996 Collector's Edition from the eBay auction was delivered. It too is amazing and will be used in the balcony concert later this evening. I cannot wait for the next Ovation adoption. |
