I've seen a lot of these KORG CA-30 CHROMATIC Ultra-compact, LCD Needle-Style Chromatic Tuners on eBay and was hoping that one of you knowledgeable folks could fill me in on these lil' gadgets.

I know. "You gets wot ya pays fer", but are they any good? They're only about 17 bucks.

they are great. I've had one for 6 or 7 years. batteries last a long time. picks up well through mic and jack. It's accurate. Fine tuner.

I have one and think it's great. Bought another for my daughter when her Ibanez tuner conked out.

It is the best bargain I have seen. If you require tuning to the nth degree you can pay more but this will get you in the range that most players and some dogs find OK!

Thanks for your typically excellent feedback gang.

Looks like a couple of Korg CA-30s will be winging their way downunder in the next few days.

I picked up a CA-30 and really liked it. Much easier to use than an older one I have. The CA-30 is currently deployed to Iraq where it is in the hands of a Marine very near and dear to my heart. Reports are that it is holding up quite well so far in some rather inhospitable conditions.

I have a couple(I keep one in my gig bag)....I use them to tune my mountain dulcimers and to check the built-ins on my Ovations. Great tuner, excellent value for the money.

I just got one recently - wanted something small for a uke case. Works great.

My Intelli-Touch is more accurate, though.
