Noticed Ovation now offers 1773LX, 6773LX, and 6773 in 1 7/8 neck. Has anyone played these? How do they compare?
Thanks

I don't know if it's any help. but i have payed a Takamine classical with a narrow neck, like the one on there high end folk model a few times in the past and it feels more comfortable than the large classical neck. Specialy when you have to play faster. I guess i'm used to the narrow neck and i usualy need a little time to adjust to widder neck. Fingers that land between the chords because of the "finger memory" i guess that kind of stuff. With a narrow neck, no problem. It is right on the spot everytime.

Thank you

Do you know what the sound difference might be with the LX model?

I would guess that the 1773LX would have a slightly better acoustic sound due to it being a 12 fret-to-the-body and the other 2 are 14 freters. This puts the bridge more in the center of the body for a better sound. The bracing is the scallopped X bracing. Don't know if that makes for a better sound yet. But the top is cedar. Cedar has a warmer initial sound than spruce.

Bottom line is that I don't know anybody who has played all of the back to back. But my money, sound wise, would be on the 1773 LX.
