Location: Minnesota | Does anyone out there have any knowledge on how or if the Adamas graphite tops are affected by humidity?
I'm new to the board with this being my first post. I've been following the board now for about 10 months after purchasing my first Ovation. It's a 1777LX Legend. It's now the guitar I play most often. I'm thinking on purchasing another guitar (I've got G.A.S.) and was looking at the Q597.
I've always taken care when it comes to humidity and temperature with my guitars. I'd probably treat a graphite top the same, just curious as to whether or not I need to take more or less precautions.
Thanks,

Location: Capital District, NY, USA Minor Outlying Islands | In singapore, hong kong, and I've heard that in jamaica, they like the graphite tops because they are much less affected by humidity than wood. I suppose if you bring it into the steam room you'll have problems. Some of them not related to the guitar.
But seriously, in the winter I put a hygrometer and humidifier in the case. Just in case. It won't hurt it. I've noticed that the fretboard and neck are affected by humidity. And the whole guitar is affected by temperature. |

Adamas tops and humidity... not an issue.
There is a mint Q597 in blue looking for a permanent home.
email me if your doctor says a blue one will help control your GAS. |
